My thoughts in a thread to FB are as follows:
public shaming or bullying using social pressure is a poor tactic gaining popularity and should stop...persuasion and civility are better approaches albeit slow.....'license' is for something illegal or to contract a protection (in the case of marriage - 'for profit' - profit being offspring)...even lawyers forget to assert and interpret law completely and as a whole....legal unions, marriage, contracts or whatever people choose to label is just that....foolish are those that think this is just a church/religious/moral issue, gov't has a high-stakes involvement that they have played very well...too bad.... beliefs and perspectives generally mature, evolve and change....
I'd just like to see my friends be happy and find joy....i try not to disrupt their personal journey, but i may not take the same route or bus as it were, and hope my friends would offer me the same courtesy/liberties with an understanding that change, evolution or improvement to become whole is a journey not a destination.....
Sorry, the quote is a strong example of logical fallacy and is so shallow here, and i do not agree with this singular clerks decision....right or wrong she stood for something, most folks today have no clue who they are.....
