Weekly Reflections and Focus

7 Rules of Aero - Garneau - Lionel Sanders  - this is the read of the week.

I lost track of things trying to keep up with a more family focus and little juniper getting ill.  At least I got the framework of a post up and also some photos.  Sometimes, life gets away a bit and causes some adaptation to be required.

“It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change.”
~~Charles Darwin
I like the quote because in endurance sports, it's all about solving equations and adapting to the environment during the movement.  Not much is static in triathlon, beyond the fact there will be three disciplines.  The Ironman Brand has struggled this year and had multiple events change distance for valid reasons, but many could argue the handling of hte changes has been less than optimal.  It gets worse when you add a bunch of A-type personalities that get a bit OCD and into taper - explosive and emotional outbreaks.

Enjoy the short post.

Weekly Pics

Back in the pool, flirting with 2:00 min per 100 yds.   So slow.....SARC indoor 25 yd pool...
