Bear Lake OWS on July 2nd

Logan and Cache Valley Open Water Swim Opportunity

For those INTERESTED -- Gustavo Flores, my neighbor and multisport enthusiast, has started a group that will kick off an attempt to create an Open Water Swim Group for Logan and Cache Valley folks.

Currently, the meetup details are:
Where:
Hyrum Reservoir Dam inlet - park at the south side where the two dead man's corners climb away from the dam road at the inlet (https://www.strava.com/activities/2516086490 - strava link for reference)
google maps info (click here)

When:
Meet up at 5:30 PM MONDAYS to swim promptly after the meetup

Who:
Swimmers - Open Water enthusiasts, triathletes and those with enough experience to swim .5 miles in an Open Water environment.
Note:  Please feel free to invite kayak and support folks to maintain a high level of support and attempt to minimize OWS risk

What to Bring:
If you have an OWS Swim Bouy (https://trigearlab.com/best-swim-buoy/) bring it for visibility and safety, goggles, swimwear (Wetsuit, rashguards, etc).  BRing a pull buoy if you'd like - safety in OWS is our first concern

Yesterday's Report:
FYI, Yesterday's swim was warm and comfortable despite the 'fall like' outdoor temps. I wore a wetsuit and was very comfortable. Someone wore a half suit and 3 or 4 folks just swam with typical lap pool wear. Folks are invited to come and get an OWS swim session in and we hope you bring your enthusiasm, your courage and willingness to FOCUS on things that will help you and others GROW! Cheers!

Gustavo, hope you don't mind, I forgot that I created this Strava group, too -(https://www.strava.com/clubs/cvmser). Cheers!
